The MSBS GROT is the newly adopted service rifle of the Polish Armed Forces. It is manufactured by Fabryka Broni “Łucznik” in Radom, a company that is part of the state-owned Polish Armaments Group.
MSBS Grot in the hands of a soldier from the 24th Mechanized Brigade on January 20, 2023.
Ukraine has received approximately 10,000 MSBS Grot assault rifles, specifically the C16A1 and C16A2 variants, from Poland. These rifles were provided as part of military aid rather than through a direct purchase agreement. The Polish government donated these weapons to support Ukraine’s defense efforts following the onset of the Russian invasion in 2022 .
In Ukraine, these carbines immediately went into battle and received highly mixed reviews: some were impressed, while others reported numerous quality issues.
Cleaning and care
A weapon, like any other complex mechanism, needs maintenance. If you look after a gun regularly, properly clean it and lubricate it, it will reliably serve you for a long time. If you forget to clean it, sooner or later, its mechanism and barrel will rust and become unusable. As for malfunctions and problems during shooting, in the case of non-regular cleaning and care, they should be expected much earlier.

I was told one story, I don’t know if it’s true. One shooter had a bad habit practicing with live rounds at home. First shot was at TV, second at the wall and third shot at the wall resulted a divorce… So, always practice with dummy rounds, it is better to put all live rounds in a safe or in another room, so you have no chance mixing live and dummy rounds.
New interesting and very expensive flahslight which replaces mag cap on Remington 870 shotguns. Good choice if you don’t have magazine extension. Haven’t tested it yet.
