Tactical flashlights are becoming more popular to use with firearms these days. Military and law enforcement officers are the ones who particularly find them helpful when approaching a potentially dangerous situation. If they are approaching or looking for a suspect, it helps for them to have a tactical flashlight on their gun so they can see who they’re facing without having to take their hands off the weapon. Otherwise, they could end up shooting the wrong person and getting in big trouble for it.
I test a lot of products but when I test CDM Gear products, I feel unbelievable aesthetic pleasure from them. This time, I received a bunch of new barrel/magazine/flashlight clamps for the Remington 870. They are also available for other shotguns like the Mossberg 500. The clamps are great as always, the design is perfect, the form is beautiful and the products are full of features. I remember the first time I received the CDM Gear MOD-C flashlight clamp and it was love at first sight. It looked awesome and the form of the barrel/magazine clamp was futuristic and functional. It is still one of the best ways to attach a flashlight to your Remington 870 or just stabilize and protect the extended magazine tube.
Thanks to CDM Gear for clamps for review!
One of the most common upgrades you can make to your Remington 870 shotgun is adding a flashlight to it.
A flashlight mounted onto your Remington 870 will give you the necessary light source you need to see what’s nearby. If you use your Remington 870 for home defense then the flashlight mount will come in handy during day or night. Even if there’s daylight outside, there could be a target that comes indoors or in an area where it is shaded from the sun. It is better to be safe than sorry so it is always a good idea to equip your shotgun with a flashlight mount. It is lightweight and doesn’t take up much space on your weapon.

Shotgun flashlight clamps are usually made of plastic or aluminum. They cost about $60-80. Magnetic flashlight clamps are little cheaper, about $30-40. But what if I say that you can buy shotgun flashlight clamp for just five bucks? And this is not a joke.
My friend gave me inexpensive Chinese bicycle clamp which is made of strap and plastic. He told me that it can be easily used as shotgun flashlight mount.
I decided to write one more article about CDM Gear MOD-C Flashlight Clamp after night shotgun training I participated recently. Tested several clamps and flashlights and was impressed by CDM Gear MOD-C Flashlight Clamp again. I have it on my shotgun but this was the first time when I spent several hours working with it and shoot many night drills with flashlight.
Participated in very interesting shotgun training this week end. Most of the home defense situations happen during the dark time of the day that is why it is important to test your shotgun with flashlight and your skills in the darkness. The best time for night shotgun training is winter when it gets dark early.
I’ve had a chance to visit shooting range several times to test flashlights and to participate in specialized night shotgun training.
This is review of the new MOD-C Light Clamp from CDM Gear. This clamp now fits Remington 870, 1100, 11-87, Benelli M1/M2/M4/M104, Mossberg 500C/930, Winchester 1300.
New CDM Gear MOD-C Light Clamp is an enhanced version of the good old MOD-C Clamp which I used for a year and a half. It was with me during all the competitions and tests. Material and finish of the clamp is really good and my old clamp looks like new.
Here is photo of the new clamp, it looks fantastic, enhanced design has only improved it.
