PGO Pistol Grip Only Remington 870 Shotgun

Another shotgun from Remington 870 Photo Contest. This time we have Pistol Grip Only shotgun.

The main advantage of the PGO shotguns is compact size. It is easy to transport or carry such shotgun. PGO shotguns are very compact and fun to shoot but they have a lot of disadvantages.

Hollywod movies make people think that PGO shotguns are easy to control and shoot. I remember how surprized I was when Milla Jovovich shot monster holding her PGO Mossberg 590 with one hand:

If you have pistol grip only shotgun, it is pretty difficult to control the recoil and make fast follow up shots. Of course, PGO shotgun is better than no shotgun at all.

I know that many hikers prefer to have a PGO shotgun, especially if they plan their trip through territories with wild animals like bears or wolves. PGO shotguns are comfortable to carry with shotgun scabbards for fast access.

Some people like to have compact shotguns with pistol grip only in their cars during trips.

This Remington 870 has Speedfeed or Shockwave Technologies Raptor pistol grip. They are very similar looking. Flashlight installed using CDM Gear MOD-C Clamp.
