Mako Recoil Reducing Folding Stock for Remington 870 Review

My friend which lives in Greece has sent me interesting information and photos of the Mako (Fab Defense) Remington 870 M4 Folding Shock Absorbing Collapsible Buttstock and Forend Rail System.

I have received many questions about these stock and forend and I am happy to share photos and info with you.

Hi my fellow Remington 870 fans. As you know, there is only 1 thing better than a Rem 870, …. Yes that’s right .. a second Rem 870.

I just couldn’t find it in me to strip my dear gun of its furniture so I decided to purchase a second one and “tac-it-out” with a Fab Defense Suit – “AGRF 870 FK SB” M4 Folding Buttstock with Shock Absorber, and a “PR-870” Forehand Rail System.

I really love target shooting out to 125 yards with my deer gun. The red dot makes it impossible to miss. I use brenneke slugs as I have fount them to be the most accurate. The monte carlo wood stock greatly assist in weapon alignment and recoil reduction. I remind you that the deer gun comes with a 20” fixed IC bore.

It is very easy to change the forehand. The quality and fit of the Fab forehand is impeccable. It also provides you with three Picatinny rails. Ergonomic design is State-of-the-Art and it is durable, hardwearing and has a lightweight construction.

I selected a Remington +3 mag extension (blued finish) – the parkerized version was sold out. Regardless, color and texture match was very close to the parkerized barrel.

Remington 870 Dimples Removal

Dimple curing. I NEVER drill / file or in any way damage the extension tube to remove dimples. I always pop them out using a method described in the next video. It works perfectly.

Note the difference between a parkerized +2 Rem extension mag and a blued +3 Rem extension mag on a 20” parkerized barrel. The +3 protrudes approx ½ inch part the barrel.

Shoulder stock ergonomics is greatly changed. The pistol grip of the Fab stock is simply fantastic. The M4 stock has 4 LOP positions.
