How does it feel to be a Champion of the 3-Gun Nation?

It feels great! I have put several years of hard work into the sport just like every other shooter in Wednesday’s event! This just validates that I’m doing something right when it comes to how I spend my time at the range.

3-Gun is the most difficult shooting sport because you have to master rifle, handgun and shotgun. What are your favorite drills?

I don’t know that I have a favorite drill for each gun. I like to mix it up to keep practice fresh. I just keep my upcoming matches in mind when training, and work specific skills for the NEXT match.

What advice can you give to all shooters to shoot better?

There are several things that shooters at any level can do to improve. If I had to name one, I would say to set goals for where you want to be. Make sure the goal is realistic, but don’t limit yourself….go big! This will help you stay motivated and keep you on the right track.

What guns do you use?

I’m currently shooting a PWS MK 118 rifle topped off with a Leupold MK 8 1.1-8 scope. My shotgun is a new Browning A5 Stalker. For my pistol I’m running a Predator Tactical Custom Scarab 9mm

Do you plan to become Champion next year?

Becoming the 2014 3 Gun Nation Champ was a goal I set last year when the season started. Now that it has been reached, a new goal must be set. Being a repeat champion is high on the list with a couple of other things I would like to accomplish in 2104-15 season!
