The Remington 700 SPS Stainless features a 24-inch long barrel and has a 5-round ammunition capacity. You can get it in several calibers. The magazines are fixed for the weapon and there is a hinged floorplate included for them. There is no front or rear sight on this rifle, so this weapon will definitely designed to be used with optic sights.
The Remington 700 SPS is made with the classic “three rings of steel” that this model is known to have. This features a steel bolt face which protects the cartridge head if the case were to rupture. Secondly, the steel barrel is surrounding the steel bolt shroud to provide it with extra strength. Finally, the receiver was machined out of hardened steel and threaded into the barrel. Remington was the first to come up with this concept and then other gun manufacturers copied it.
The rifle is completely reliable and accurate. The entire rifle only weighs 7.25 pounds, so it will be easy to carry the rifle around and aim it without the weight dragging you down. This is largely thanks to the stock being made from polymer material. This particular synthetic material is both lightweight and durable at the same time. For the price that is being asked, it is a good deal for anyone who is a serious rifle user.
Military, law enforcement, and other experienced shooters prefer this weapon.

A lot of people who own this weapon tend to upgrade the factory stock that comes with it. They feel like the accuracy is not as good as it could be because the stock is not adjustable and doesn’t have advantages of the aluminum chassis. For this reason, more owners of the Remington 700 are turning to the MDT HS3 chassis system upgrade for this rifle. Modular Driven Technologies is the company which manufacturers this chassis system. They are a well-known company in the world of firearms parts and accessories. So, you can trust that any chassis system by them is reliable and high quality.
MDT (Modular Driven Technologies) – Remington 700 HS3 LA Stock Chassis
This aluminum-based chassis system has been made extra strong and durable, thanks to the hard anodization process that it goes through. Due to the V-shaped bedding of the MDT HS3, it will drastically increase your accuracy with each shot that you take with the Remington 700.
The design of this chassis system will accommodate any pistol grip or buttstock that comes from the AR-15 rifle. It also takes magazines from the Accuracy International Chassis System and polymer magazines from Modular Driven Technologies. The side panels of the chassis are made from a polymer material as well. This provides the proper feel for the grip and color for the aesthetics. There is two color choices available; black and flat dark earth. The latter is basically a medium brown color which would blend well with desert type environments.
Regardless of the color you choose, the MDT HS3 is priced at $499.99. There are an installation tutorial video for those who are not experienced at disassembling a Remington 700 and upgrading its components. It is not too hard to learn as long as you have a basic understanding of weapons. Otherwise, you should have a gunsmith handle this upgrade job for you.

MDT (Modular Driven Technologies) – V4 Skeleton Buttstock
The Modular Driven Technologies V4 Skeleton Buttstock is compatible with any rifle which uses the TAC21 Chassis system. For the LSS Chassis, you will need the fixed stock adapter or folding stock adapter to mount it.
In case you are not familiar with the TAC21 Chassis, this is a system which allows you to convert your existing rifle into a tactical weapon. The system was designed by Modular Driven Technologies which is known for creating modular weapons and accessories. Some of the rifles which the TAC21 Chassis is compatible with include the Remington 700, Tikka T3, and the Savage.
Basically, these are all bolt action rifles that can be upgraded with the TAC21 Chassis. The system will give your rifle better grip, stability, and accuracy. Not only that, there is an external magazine which will make reloads faster and easier. As for the buttstock, the TAC21 Chassis already comes with a buttstock which resembles the same one found on an AR-15. However, if you have a folding stock adapter or any compatible fixed stock adapter for the TAC21 Chassis, then you will be able to mount the V4 Skeleton Buttstock to it.
There are a lot of advantages to adding the V4 Skeleton Buttstock. For one thing, it has an aluminum construction which makes it lightweight and rigid. This is perfect for anyone in a battle situation where they need to move quickly and subject their weapon to a lot of wear and tear. This V4 Skeleton is strong enough to sustain abuse in this kind of environment.
Another great feature is the adjustable cheek piece for resting the side of your face on when you go to aim your rifle. On the rear, there is an easily adjustable butt plate in order to set the appropriate length of pull that you desire. The butt plate is padded with a super soft material so that it will be comfortable to rest against your shoulder.
Any rifle with an AR-15 style buttstock will be compatible with the VR Skeleton Buttstock. The cost of this buttstock upgrade is $289.99. There are two color options available which are both the same price. You can choose between the black colored V4 Skeleton or the “flat dark earth” color. There is no difference between them in terms of quality.
If you don’t already have a TAC21 Chassis System, then you will need to purchase one. The cost will be between $689.99 and $782.99, depending on which model rifle you have.
