This is very interesting upgrade I’ve had a lot of fun with. LaserLyte Center Mass projects a ring of eight green laser dots with one green laser dot in the center and many smaller dots. The circle grows at one-inch per yard and you can see approximate pattern of s shotgun shot with birdshot or buckshot.

LaserLyte Center Mass is very compact, lightweight and easy to use.

New Remington 870 Home Defense Project, with Parts List

Remington 870 Home Defense Project from Malpaso from Remington 870 Forum:

Finished my 870 project tonight. Since I pulled info from all over the place, both here and on other sites, I thought I’d compile everything in one place.

I started off with a basic Wingmaster.

I was lucky enough to sell off the stock, forend and barrel, and put those funds toward the replacement parts. I effectively turned it into a Police. Here is what I replaced, with factory part numbers and Brownell’s part numbers for reference:

Thanks to Synchronizor for this fantastic review!

One of the attributes that makes the venerable Remington 870 so flexible is the fact that its magazine can easily be expanded without having to change out the barrel or the base magazine tube. UPDATE: Remington started making spacer (F402819) for Remington 870 Tactical shotguns one piece magazine tube.

Interesting project from Randizzle88 from Remington 870 Forum:

Well hey guys I found out for the 870 express 6+1 tactical shotgun, the Remington 4+1 barrels will not work. For some of you guys looking to fit a vented barrel on a 870 express 6+1. You will find nobody makes one where the mounting point is on the 6+1 870s. So here is what I did to make it work. I bought a 28 inch vent rib barrel 4+1 and made a spacer tube to fit a 6+1. I used a chop saw to cut multipurpose 6061 aluminum tube I got from the hardware store 1-1/4″ OD. Make sure it cuts a perfect 90 and slow cuts. Then I hand sanded the inside of the aluminum pipe to fit the magazine tube perfect.
