Here are my 2 babies.
First up is my 870 tac recon. I loved the stock, but I love the feel of a pistol grip on a long gun, so it had to go.

Remington 870 with Magpul Upgrades: Stock, Forend and Sling
USMC6282 has posted photos of his Remington 870 with Magpul upgrades on Remington 870 forum:
So a few weeks ago i purchased an old remmington 870. looked up the serial and found that it is older than i am. it’s a 1979 wingmaster with the barrel cut to 18.5″. when i first recieved it the safety was stuck in the off position, and it was a little (really dirty in my standards) condition. upon coming home i tore it all apart and found cosmoline on the bolt and trigger group. its weird because i figured the previous owner would have cared for it. so did a full inspection, complete cleaning, repaired the safety, and put it all back together. then i didnt like how the worn bluing looked so started to sand the reciever and finally decided to hand polish it starting at 80 grit and progressing to 3000 grit wet/dry and finally polishing paste. then i noticed the stock was cracked in multiple spots so that had to go. all in all i purchased the gun for 200 dollars and put 250 into it.

Best Shotgun Dummy Rounds
I don’t like plastic dummy rounds, they are expensive and they have light weight which makes them inappropriate for dry fire trainings.
Shotgun dummy rounds should be of the same weight and size as the live rounds. This way, you will have proper skills during dry fire trainings.
There are two best variants to get such dummy rounds for your shotgun. First is to make them yourself. If you have friends which reload shotgun shell you can ask them to make such dummy rounds for you. You just don’t add live primer and gun powder. That way you will have dummy round which has the same weight and size as live rounds.

Remington 870 Surefire 618LMG Forend Light Review
From Strapy from Remington 870 Forum
Here is the final piece to the 870 express I built for my wife. She chose the Surefire 618LMG over the Eotech because the grip felt better. The Eotech is all Polycarbonate and the Surefire has a bit of a rubber grip.
Also the Eotech depth is much more then the Surefire. As you can see in the pictures, the Surefire rises back up to the mag tube behind the flashlight. The Eotech continues straight back. The Surefire also feels much more solidly built then the Eotech.

ATI (Advanced Technology) Upgrades and Accessories for Remington 870
I have announced review of the ATI Talon stock and ATI Talon Aluminum forend some time ago. Now, after tests, I can tell you that it is nice set with many interesting features. The only disadvantages are complicated installation and heavy weight of the stock.
Don’t trust many negative reviews of the ATI stock and forend. I think that most of the negative reviews were from people who installed upgrades incorrectly. I am not affiliated with ATI and this is honest review with advantages and disadvantages of this set.

Remington 870 Barrels Complete Guide
The two most common Remington 870 barrels are either the rifled barrel or the smoothbore. Rifled barrels are good for shooting sabot slugs like Premier Accutip Slug, Copper Solid Slug etc. These are the kind of barrels you would use if you are aiming to kill someone or something on a longer distance. Perhaps you want to looking to kill a big predator in the woods. These barrels help you have more stability and accuracy with your shots in order to do this kind of damage. If you are looking for a long range shotgun then rifled barrels would be your best option as well. As for smoothbore barrels, these are more suitable for rifled slugs, birdshot and buckshot. In other words, if you are looking to hunt small ducks or birds hen you would be better off using smoothbore.
