Review from Shoten Armory Tactical Support
With over 10,000,000 Remington 870s in use today by proud owners, you will find them set up for hunting, law enforcement, military, home defense and recreation. Inevitably, the subject of illumination will come up among all. So, do we evaluate every single one for its pros and cons or do we finally establish and recognize the fact that tactical really does mean practical?
This safety is used for “Three Gun Competition” and for tactical shotguns. Getting your weapon from safe to ready fire mode is critical and split seconds do count in many situations.
The safety engages and disengages with a positive click, so not only is there a more pronounced feel to the oversized safety you can also hear the safety engaging/disengaging.
Very interesting story from Jeffrey Lors, one of the readers of the Rem870.com Blog. Make sure to visit his blog here: http://oldironadventure.com/2014/01/26/shooting-skeet-with-your-tactical/

There was one shooter with new Remington 870 Tactical on today’s shotgun training of our shooting club. As you know, new Remington 870 Tactical has long magazine tube which makes feeding more reliable. The only question I have to Remington’s designers is why magazine tube isn’t flush with the barrel.
You will need to use +1 magazine extension to have your barrel flush with magazine tube.
