What are RAT Grips? Pads made of special material which you can heat and then mold to make a custom grip for your firearm. RAT stands for Rapid Adaptation Technology. You can heat the pad, attach it to a gun and mold your own grip that is custom fit for your hand.
Thanks to Choate Machine & Tool for the stock and forend for review. Thanks to Tommy Geraci, one of the blog readers for making this review!
Testing chainsaw grip for shotguns. Turned out that it won’t work with Remington 870 with rifle sights :) because rear sight is not alllowing for hand to work the forend.
Even the most experienced shooters realize that recoil can change the way they shoot. Some shooters will develop a flinch because of the expected recoil, which reduces accuracy and can cause the butt to slam into the shoulder instead of allowing the entire body to absorb the recoil. Low recoil loads are not always an option because of the reduced range and impact. Another option is a recoil reducing stock.
Now I can tell you more about this product because I finally had a chance to test it on the range. Small advice – try to shoot from the hip level first, this way you understand what recoil you need to control and will not smash your teeth with pistol grip as some guys on YouTube do.
