Hello there!
New Remington 870 owner here from Sweden.
So I have been trying to find info if most aftermarket parts will fit the super magnum, as it is a little different.
I'm trying to get that Police look, so I want to change the stock to the ordinary walnut one, change the foregrip to the police version and get the police trigger plate assembly.
So I'd like to know if these fit directly or if they need fitting?
These are the parts I have been looking at:

870 Super Magnum upgrades
Re: 870 Super Magnum upgrades
Most parts will interchange between the supermag and a regular receiver, the real difference comes into play with the stroke leangth of the supermag. The bolt is longer and the action bars are longer as it has to stroke longer for the 3 1/2" shells. The for end might not be a direct fit as the for end travels further towards the receiver on a supermag. So some light modifications will have to be made to get it to fully stroke rearwrd. But being as it is wood a small chisel and some sand paper will make quick work of it. As for the trigger assembly, that should fit in a supermag but you may need to swap the carrier from the police model to the supermag model. And also you won't need the heavier carrier dog spring as it comes with the police model trigger. All the other parts should work perfectly.

I had a Super Magnum for many years and I can say that you can put anything on the Super Magnum as the Express models.
The only difference is that you can't put any kind of For end on it without either modifying the for end. Or having a gunsmith at a local Gun shop do it for about $25 bucks.

Re: 870 Super Magnum upgrades
The furniture is interchangeable, as are magazine parts (springs, followers, retainers, caps, extension kits, etc). The trigger plate assembly isn't. Some of the TPA internals are the same between standard and SuperMag models, but if you're new to the 870, you probably don't want to be monkeying around with the trigger mechanisms.
