mossberg 600at

I am not sure if it is taboo to ask a question about a mossb. on our 870 sight. I am an 870 man all the way. I ran across an old 600at for 75 bucks. I couldnt pass it up. It is in great shape,just needs some major degunking. I am wondering if anyone knows if the action bars and forend are supposed to come out of the reciever. They just dont want to slide out for me.

That generation of Mossberg shotguns have a spring at the base of the mag tube that prevents you from pushing the forend too far forward.

If it is like my 550 you must remove the magazine tube from the receiver to completely get the slide action bars out of the receiver.
