+2 mag extension follower

Hi all...

I'm new to this forum and really new to all forums so please forgive me if I'm asking a question that's been answered a million times.

I'm adding a Wilson Combat 2 round magazine extension to my 870 Express with an 18" barrel. We have a 'friend of the family' that's a gunsmith and he's going to remove the dents for me the proper way. The extension comes with a new plastic follower for tubes without dents.

What metal follower is recommended for my gun without dents?

Any of them really.

Of note though I replaced my stock metal with a plastic aftermarket. I think it works better and after a couple of thousand rounds it hasn't worn out.

I'd use the plastic follower.

I always had plastic followers and never had an issue, including the follower that came with my Wilson 2+...which I swapped to a Rem 2+ when it went to Vang. Now I have their follower which runs fine. Cool design too.

I have the2 shot extension with barrel clamp from G,G&G , and use the stainless steel follower from there also . Very smooth operation .
