870wingmaster value 12 & 28ga

hello all, new guy here with a few questions of value. I have had these 2 excellent condition examples sitting in the safe for 20+ years and figure it is time to make room for things I won't feel bad about taking out in the field.

1. 870 wingmaster 12ga magnum. If I not incorrect (which is entirely possible) the barrel is stamped in what appears to be KV29 ? If that is not of any value, I will have to get brighter light and better glasses. Serial number on the receiver is V 240XXX M. It has a vent rib barrel with fixed full choke, which I believe is 30"





2. 870 wingmaster 28ga. Barrel if I am correct is stamped "R8" and serial number is S 125XXX J . Barrel is a modified fixed chock with no vent rib.





any help on value of these is greatly appreciated

The best way to judge "current actual value" is to use the search function on a site like GunBroker.com, and search on completed auctions. Not current auctions, which will give the value that people expect or think they'll get. But completed auctions is what people actually paid. Asking us here is kind of a pointless exercise, just because what I think something is worth is only what I'd pay, and that's subjective, not objective. Those completed auctions are an objective statement of what a similar firearm actually sold for.

I have an early 70's Wingmaster with 28", Mod, VR barrel and 2.75" chamber in Very Good condition. I have lately guessed its value at $400 -450.
I was at a local gun show in early July and saw a vendor with an identical 870, made in 1979, and not in as good of shape. It was priced at $750. I have re-evaluated the value of mine!
