Remington 783 chambered in .308

Hi!
Anders Olsson from Sweden here, I am a huge Remington fan and have done some upgrades to my 783

The rifle are a budget version as you all know, but a very well built one in my humble opinion.
My rifle have now got 4 nice upgrades.
First of all I have mounted a tactical bolt handle I found on Ebay.
Second I have installed a full picatinny rail on top of the receiver.
Third I mounted a picatinny rail on the bottom of the forend so I can mount a bipod on it and still have my sling on.
The fourth and last upgrade are that I boughth a bottom metal for the magazine well so I now can use AICS magazine with 10 rds.
This last upgrade took the 783 to a whole new level and now I feel it is not a budget rifle any more :)

What do you guys think?

That looks great Anders! Did you do all the work yourself? You've got a budget long range rifle.

Thanks!

I have done all work by myself. Really not too troubling with the three first upgrades.
The bottom metal magazine well where a lot harder. I am a old mechanic and has worked with both lathes and milling machines for well over 20 years.
So, I have knowledge but unfortunately not acess to any lathe or milling machine nowadays.
I made it by hand, with a Dremel very carefully and step by step.

I am pretty satisfied as it is now working flawless and actually seems like it where built from the factory if I may say it myself ;)
Maybe I will try to stretch out my shooting to more long range bjut it is very hard to find such shooting-ranges where I live, as I live in Sweden. One of the most hostile nation on the face of earth towards shooting, hunting and all firearms related things.
Anyhow, thanks for feedback :)

You did a great job. I thought Sweden was a very hunting-oriented land out in "the country" where the moose and 6.5x55 cartridges reigned supreme? At least that's what we've always been told over here.
