Mossberg 510 410

Post by Okie1297 »

Does anyone here know if I can put a full size Mossberg bantam stock on the 510 mini. I’ve had it since I was 7 and never really shot it much pay a couple of practice sessions and taking it squirrel and rabbit hunting. Since I’m 15 now it doesn’t fit at all comfortably. Any ideas of it would work.

What "doesn't fit"? The LOP? That can be lengthened with a slip-on recoil pad, not that you need a pad for a .410 but the extra inch or so may help in LOP.

Mostly the length of pull on the stock. It’s made for little kids and the LOP is 11” so it’s super short.

Call Mossberg customer service and ask. Chances are that the .410 receiver is identical on the full size and youth models, which means the stocks will mate up the receiver the same. I know this is true for 870 youth and full size stocks. Only the stock bolt length is different to accomodate the shorter stock. Probably lots of cheap take-off stocks on eBay to, so you can always grab one and try.
