I think this may solve the issue. I will report back after I range test it.
Those work very well and if you havent install an 1100 carrier spring and you should be good to go.

Which follower did you get? I use the nylon tailed versions and they work great.

My honest, humble opinion?

You want the absolute best modification You can do to make that faster, and, more reliable?

go buy a case of shells. (go reduced recoil, so You don't actually die), and, use that puppy to send them downrange. every last one practice outdoors, indoors, in the rain, snow, and, whatever other misery inducing conditions You can find.

practice the right way. (remember. practice doesn't make perfect. practice makes permanent. only perfect practice makes perfect)

practice until You hate that wretched little shotgun.

You will no longer be holding that shotgun back from it's potential.

No, I'm not dogging You. I'm dogging us all. NONE of us get enough practice to worry about making our weapons system better or faster (Yet, here we are) the reality is life gets in the way. can we be effective in what we need to be? that's the real acid test, as long as we can defend our selves, and/or families, make the ethical kill of our prey while hunting, or take home the prize at a 3 gun, then, I think we have this.
rant over.

Hope it works. Those police springs are a lot to stuff into the magazine tube. Better followers are always a must!

I test fired the gun today. No joy.

It still cycles and feeds Winchester AA’s as fast as I can pump the action. Load it up with 3 inch Kent Fasteel 1 1/4 ounce steel and the second shell remains in the magazine and I have an empty chamber.

The new follower and mag spring didn’t solve the issue.

Frustrating.

When a shell hangs up like that, can you post some pictures looking up into the bottom with some good light?

let me double check one thing. it only does it with kent fasteel 1 1/4 oz steel?

eta. quick google search yielded a few guys having issues with kent. one stated kents worked great, and, then they didn't.

maybe out of spec by a few thousandths? (measuring is a lot cheaper than replacing parts...just sayin')

Never shot their Fasteel loads, so I have no experience. But I thought we had tried with other fare like Rio or Federals or Estates?
