870 fan checking in

Post by yettob »

Hey howdy.
My first 870 Wingmaster was given to me by my father in 1964. It was a 12ga Wingmaster Field model, with a plain 28" modified barrel I used for Trap and Skeet, as well as pheasant, etc.

Currently I have a 12ga Competition 30" full choke with nice wood for Trap, and an extra 25" barrel with Remchokes for Skeet.
I also have an 12ga Express that came with a 28" Remchoke barrel, which I purchased a 18" cylinder barrel for.
My son also has a 12ga 30" full choke 870, as well as an 12ga Armcor pump.

I've been reloading shotshells since the 1960's as well (Mec 600).

My brothers had Ithaca 37 pumps, but I always preferred Remington, and grew up on an old 20ga Model 11 autoloader.

My first shotgun, a sixties Mossberg 500A, fell apart on me (the front stock threads stripped).

Never had any trouble with Remingtons.

yettob, welcome to the forum!

I'm just starting reloading shotshells, so maybe you can give several general advices? I have Lee Load All press.

Thanks,
Vitaly.
