Even though over half my life is in Oregon (since 1978) I am a Pennsylvanian by birth and heart, and still have the no semi auto allowed for rifle hunting embedded in me. I got into hunting late in life, college age, but have always been impressed that an 870 prepped you for a 572 and a 572 prepped you for a 760 and a 760 prepped you for an 870. So I felt the need to have a battery of Remington pumps for hunting. Found an 870 Express in 20 gauge a couple or three years ago and shortly after an abused 870 Magnum in 12 gauge that I hope to restore, or have restored. Then a Remington 572 showed up, and someday a Remington 760/7600 will be in the gun safe. I seem to recall the Pennsylvania Game Commission has looked at the semi auto issue and has recently or will in the near future allow semi auto 22's for small game, but I will hold on to the pumps.

I have adapted to become a Oregon State Beaver fan and root for the Oregon Ducks when they don't play Oregon State. But I still root for the Nittany Lions, Phillies, and can't believe the Eagles won the Super Bowl

Re: New Oregonian
Did someone say Penn State Nittany Lions?!? Welcome aboard. I love where you're headed with the Remington pumps, in fact the 572 is the last rimfire that I need in my sweep of the basic whole set. Put away that Beavers cap, Nittany Lions rule (from one ex-PA'er to another)!
