Holes for Sights $$ ?

Hello,
I recently went to a Gunsmith, I know when I should use someone that knows how to do something !
I asked to have four holes put in the top of the receiver; I was told a number in $$ and was wondering what the going rate was for do this same job at another Gunsmith.

So I decided to ask out here in Web World… “What is the going rate to drill four holes in a 20-ga REM870 Receiver” ?

I am not trying to avoid paying or to pay less for something that should cost more, I just want a fair price and mostly everything I have done in my local area has cost FAR more than the going rate, (not just gun work) !

Anyone, any comments ?

I guess this is a sore subject or maybe no one uses a Gunsmith or wants to talk about it !

I am just looking for a ball park figure to determine a fair deal !
