Forend wrench

Post by JKK »

Hi there

Can anybody in here give up the dimensions on the forend wrench?

The diameter and the size of the two "splits".

Thank you very much

For a basic fore-end wrench that consists of a cylinder with two pegs or ears to engage the notches in the fore-end tube nut; the cylinder should be one inch in diameter, while the pegs should extend out about an eighth of an inch each (1.25" overall width) and be no more than about 3/16" wide.

That's for a 12ga 870, by the way. I don't have a small-frame 870 here to measure.

If you build yourself a tool, please share some pictures!
