Im new to shotguns but not new to guns... I have always been a pistol guy, I primarily shoot 9mm or 22 when I can find it. I just recently got into long guns, I managed to score an old 10/22T and I just recently picked up an 870. I plan to use the 870 for home defense and shooting clays on a friends property. The 870 I picked up came with the 28" barrel, which should work out great for clays. I plan on picking up a 18" barrel and a mag tube extension of some sort within the next couple weeks to outfit my new 870 for HD use.
