I seen an advertisement for this. It had a rail on the right side of the receiver, just behind the ejection port. on the rail was a Streamlight TLR-1. Has anyone ever tried this?
Just curious. it looks functional but I haven't tried it...

Re: A flashlight on the Reciever of an 870???
Out of curiosity, I rubber-banded my carry flashlight to the side of my 870's receiver behind the ejection port, then turned out all the lights in my apartment. There was a shadow, but the place was still lit up pretty well, and anything in the sights was directly illuminated. You'll have a shadow with any light setup that doesn't place the lens at or ahead of the muzzle anyway, so I think a receiver mount light is a viable option if that placement works best for you. I can imagine some potential advantages to that mounting location.
