Can anyone here recommend a recoil pad that will fit, without modification, a wood stock police gun made in the 1980's? All the prefit recoil pads I can find on the web appear to be for late model guns - 'late model' appears to mean those made within the last 15 years or so.
And, what's significant about the 15-year (1998-2000) break point? Important changes?
Any and all advice will be appreciated.
Thanks, Jim - tenxes
P.S. - I tried to search the forum, but found no posts on the subject.

Re: Prefit recoil pad for police gun
I've run into the same issue with my old Police stock. From what I understand, the issue is that the older stocks had a different profile, and possibly different locations for the recoil pad screw holes.tenxes wrote:Can anyone here recommend a recoil pad that will fit, without modification, a wood stock police gun made in the 1980's? If you find a good pad that fits, I'd be interested in hearing about it. But you may end up having to have one fitted. It's not that tough a project, several members here have done it.
