Yes, my 870 tactical with Magpul furniture kicks like a mule with 3" XX 00 buckshot Magnums. After a couple of shots kind of makes you flinch.

Well, S&J Hardware sells the KA-1212 Muzzle Brake on their website, though it's really more of a breaching stand-off.

To be honest, a muzzle break isn't going to change recoil appreciably on a shotgun - even if it is intended to be an actual brake. Pretty much everything sold as a "muzzle break" for a shotgun is either a breaching stand-off, a purely cosmetic accessory, or just plain snake oil. Shotguns send too much mass, and don't run at high-enough gas pressures for muzzle brakes or barrel porting to have the same effect as they do for high-powered rifles.

If I remember correctly, the Magpul stock comes with one of the excellent Remington SuperCell pads (if yours doesn't have one, you should get one). With that, heavy 3" magnum loads should be quite manageable (though they'll still kick) so long as the stock is fitting you properly, and you're using proper technique.

I ordered the Magpul SGA Remington 870 butt pad adaptor and a Remington Supercell recoil pad for shotguns. I'll try that next week and see if that helps.

I don't think you'll be disappointed. The first time I shot turkey loads with my 870 (with the factory, hard rubber pad), I was sore for days. After installing a SuperCell, I can shoot magnums all day comfortably. Also, the smooth surface material of the SuperCell pads will not grab or hang up on clothing the way many others will.

I completely agree with sync. I have the magpul stock and my first time out I had some 3" magnum buck &slugs and boy did I regret it. I immediately ordered the SGA Remington adapter and the "supercell pad" sync mentioned. What a world of difference! Also unless your hunting i'd stear clear of the magnum loads in general.
