New to the forum but not the 870.
I have two: a Super Mag I bought new about 13 years ago and a Tactical I bought new last summer.
Both guns now have the 870P-spec extractor and carrier latch spring. Both also have King Armory low-friction magazine spring followers and Wolff magazine springs (the Super has an extended magazine).
The Super has a one-point sling (using an adaptor between the stock and receiver), a three-sided front rail with a Streamlight TLR-1, an 18" Remington Police barrel, and a sleeve shell holder on the butt stock.
The Tactical has a two-point sling with a Streamlight TLR-3 on an aftermarket front rail and a Tacstar sidesaddle shell holder.
Thinking of Mesa Tactical shell holders for both guns.
I'm mainly interested in home defense, but I do horse around with these guns occasionally.

Here they are. The Super is obviously on top. Forgot to mention that the Super also has a fiber optic front sight. Still experimenting a bit with the placement of the tac lights (side vs. bottom of gun).ponycarman wrote:Welcome! Post up some pics
I haven't weighed them, but the Super feels a little lighter. Might just be that it seems a little less front-heavy.

That sidesaddle would add weight, and while the breacher choke and railed clamp aren't too heavy, their position on the end of the gun would add more perceived weight when you have the gun shouldered.JBL13 wrote:I haven't weighed them, but the Super feels a little lighter.
