870 forend oversized

I just received a high gloss walnut forend from Numrich. It is 10" long so I assume it is for a trap model. I intended to put it on a 12 gauge Wingmaster. The the chanel going through the forend is way too big in diameter for the action tube. Also, after tightening the tube nut all the way, the forend moves back and forth on the tube. Rattles like crazy. Was there ever a different action tube for 870? The forend is uncheckered, high gloss, extra long with finger grooves. Beautiful, I would like to use it. Thanks for any thoughts.
