20 Gauge 870 Sling Studs

Good afternoon all,

I have 2 older 870 Express Magnums in 20 gauge that I would like put slings on while maintaining the factory caps. Ive read a few places you can drill the caps but both mine have holes already. Can I buy the parts needed to do this without buying a new cap?

P.S. I only want to use the OEM caps because I like factory and they look better.

You can drill them and install the stud and e-clip. But truly, why bother. Numrich or many place like MidwestGunWorks (MGW) has caps, even factory caps, with the sling studs installed. Plus it depends if yours is ball-n'-detent or ratchet style, but either can be retro-fitted to work.
