870 Express Magnum longer barrel

Hello, new to the site. I have been trying to find longer barrels for my 12ga 870 express magnum. Did some online searching and everything i have found says they are no longer available or out of stock. Would like to find 20" fully rifled barrel for deer hunting and a 26" barrel for trap shooting and bird hunting and things of that sort. I have shorter rifled barrel but would like one longer and the original barrel that came with the gun new was misplaced a few years back when i moved. Still no luck finding it back and would like to get one back again. Is there any place that still has these available or are they discontinued? Thanks for any help.

Remington brand barrels will likely be impossible to find new for a while, if they ever come back at all. Used ones are now ridiculously priced. There are some non-Remington sources but I've no experience with them except an 18" riot barrel by Mossberg that I've had for 15 yr or so.

If the new guys who bought Remington dont deliver someone else will. There are simply too many 870 out there for the void to remain unfilled.

What are you expecting fromna longer slug barrel? I dont think you'll see any measurable gains with two more inches of barrel. If you really want the 20" someone might trade you for the 18". For the 26" barrel I'm afraid you need to prepare your wallet.

Carlson’s barrels are much more available that Remington barrels and they are chrome lined. For the price of a used Remington barrel, you can get a new Carlson barrel.
