Ya know, pull your forend off and give us a picture of the bolt rails. It's possible that yours are canted/twisted to one side, causing the bolt to dive-down at one point. Let's see an aft-looking-forward pic of the rails on a level surface please. :ugeek:

I'm pretty sure also that your barrel looks like it is cocked counter-clockwise from the receiver. See that small amount of barrel-end sticking out into the ejection port? That shouldn't be so prominent, as would be the case if the barrel was turned more clockwise like shown in my picture. Then the extractor would line up better with the extractor cut.

Are your sights tilted to the left?

Well.....

It appears that you are correct on both counts.

The barrel looks slightly off and the rails do too.

The barrelshifts to one side and the rails the other.

Question is what part(s) are bad and need to be replaced to correct it?

Barrel is new and the forearm perhaps needs rework or replacment.

This is a defect that a certified repair tech and the factory were unable to detect and they were content to leave me twisting in the wind.

I have contacted Remington customer service and am returning it the factory for warranty repair - round 2.

I may end up with a whole new gun.

Thank you so much for you help on this!
