greetings from pendleton, ny!

Post by pendletonjohn »

hello all - just won an auction for a 25077 rem 870 on gunbroker.com for home defense. cant wait to get it, and go over all the possible upgrades that can be made, and make them. i am looking forward to learning all i can here. now i got a project again! we grow garlic and heirloom tomatoes as our main crops here, and we make authentic italian red wine vinegar, the old fashioned way, with mother that goes back generations.

Awesome! Welcome aboard. Do you market your products, or just sell locally?

How do you replenish the mother? Anything like mother yeast that you gotta keep feeding? Does it keep growing so you have limitless supply for production? In any case, welcome!

i have about 18 gallons of the red that i was going to sell at our local farmers market here, but life kind of got in the way. it only gets better with age, so maybe next year. the mother generally settles to the very bottom of the carboys, and the tap is slightly above that. the garlic, tomatoes, pineapple tomatillos, cucamelons, salad greens, etc. are for family and friends. thanks for the warm welcome!
