Hello Guys & Gals,
I am a Newbie. Today is my 1st message after the intro! A guy I know wants to sell me an 870 12 ga. Not abuse, but not taken care of, has surface rust with no pitting, dirty, and not working properly, but will shoot safely, for $65. I told him I want it. My game plan is to field-strip it and clean and inspected it (thanks Youtube for showing field-stripping). My question, is who sells a complete spring kit?

I'd go to Remington"s site and see if they sell one, then get the part number and Google it for a cheaper price. If they don't sell a complete kit you can get the individual part numbers. I'd also suggest you upgrade to the "Police" model springs.

I would call JD McGuire of AI&P Tactical and tell him what you need, he'll put together your kit (he includes police internals in his kits, and he's got prepackaged kits but will customize them to your requirements) but is eager to discuss your specific needs. His prices are equal or less than Remington's and only sells OEM internals. He's well worth talking to cause that way you get exactly what you need and only what you need. One cool thing he does is put in his kits the Marine nickel plated pins and detents that are much more corrosion resistant. His number is 231-690-0954. The guy's a legend in the shotgun community, he's a bit gruff but a really good guy not out to hose you.
