Mounting Aimpoint: Aridus CROM or KE Arms Mount?

Post by winny94 » Thu Jun 11, 2020 5:05 pm

Looking to mount an aimpoint on an 870. Debating between the Aridus CROM and the KE Arms Mount - any thoughts one way or another?
I have a vent rib barrel so I question if its even possible to co-witness. Anyone have experience w/ either or both on a vent rib setup?

The ventilated rib is not an "aiming" sight like in a rifle, but an alignment tool for a shotgunner's eye. Most shotgunner's learn too late when shooting fowl or clays that their shotgun may pattern somewhere else than where that rib is "aimed". My $0.02? Mount the optic and forget about the VR, or go to a plain no-rib barrel like a police or slug gun. Now slug barrels DO have rifle sights, so....
