Dear Remingtonians,
I seriously need your help.
I have a haunted Remington 870 Tactical Express.
I have used this shotgun one time since I bought it because it will not pump out the last round out of the magazine tube - 100% of the time.
I have had a gun smith replaced both the left and right latches.
I have replaced the spring with the Wolf heavy duty spring.
I have changed the follower from plastic to aluminum.
I have cleaned it? (Only used it once....)
And 100% of the time the last round will remain stuck - of course, I am only cycling with A-Zoom snap caps.
For the love of God is this shotgun haunted?

Usually, that happens with weak magazine spring or worn out follower. Try this with live rounds on the range. I had a dummy round which was worn out and it stuck every time I tried to dry fire with it.

Re: Last round always stuck in mag tube
I think I finally figured it out in case this happens to anyone - this model is from 2012 and it has the spring and ball detent - B.S. - when you take out the magazine spring I definitely lost the detent - as a result the barrel does not sit fully and there are not enough threads on the magazine tube to make up the difference. I have to probably buy 1" OD washers to seal that gap. That's the problem. Hope this helps another person out there.

Something else is wrong, the detent does nothing but lock the magazine cap in place. If there is not enough threads something else has gone wrong. Any pictures would be helpful
In what way is there not enough threads? Not protruding through the barrel ring far enouh or too much sticking through?
