I have an older 870 20ga on a 12ga action. The barrel in marked MOD and there is a screw in choke that I can't identify. It is flush mounted 2 1/8 inches and threaded almost the full length. I to purchase a full choke, but don't know which brands will work. Enclosed is a picture of the choke. ANy help identifying the choke or an appropriate replacement would be appreciated.

Re: Can't identify a choke
I don't think I've ever seen a choke with that much threading. Is the left side the muzzle end?
Re: Can't identify a choke
Yes, left side is muzzle - you can just see one of the notches in the picture. Thanks for looking - any ideas of a replacement brand?
Thanks, DR

Re: Can't identify a choke
It's not a Rem Choke tube, then. It might be a Benelli or Beretta system, something with threads at the top, but I couldn't tell you exactly what it is, especially just based on a picture. It's certainly not a factory setup, someone had it done custom, so it could be pretty much anything. If someone in your area does choke tube installation, they may be able to measure the threads & tube length, and give you a better idea.
Re: Can't identify a choke
Looks like a Briley. Call them and see if they can help you with another tube.
