New Owner of a 870

Post by Tmack »

My name is Richard Im from the Detroit area. I work for Ford and im an electrician, ive worked here for 16 years...
Just made a 870 express purchase for home protection. It was a impulse buy and now wish i would have bought the 870 tactical. :o
I want to get the pistol grip with the collapable stock, also i would like to add a rail on top to add a scope or a red dot....
On the front of the 870 tactical there is the one extra piece with the holes drilled in it i believe its called the "extended ported Tactical Rem Choke"
can i add that to mine?

any suggestions on where to buy these parts im loking for? thanks in advance T Mack!

You can add that part- it's a screw in choke that will replace the choke in your current Express barrel. Also, if you'd like to buy that pistol grip, choke, and maybe a shorter barrel and magazine extension tube, you should checkout MidwayUSA (http://www.midwayusa.com) or Brownells (http://www.brownells.com) - between those two websites, if you don't see the type of part you're looking for, it doesn't exist! :D

Also, if you want specific brand parts after you figure out the type you're looking for, check out our sponsors on this site as they make some good stuff that may not be on Brownells or MidwayUSA but is certainly worth taking a look at...and we get a Rem870.com discount with those sponsors. 8-)

Thanks for your work at Ford...my F150 Supercrew is the best purchase I've ever made in the automobile department. If I ever decide to replace it, it'll be with another Ford, though I may upgrade to an F250 Superduty Kingranch FX4. 8-)
