even though it's more expensive than the tacstar, it's better constructed (aluminum, not plastic). highly recommended.

Mesa Tactical manufactures what is currently the best receiver mounted shell carrier on the market. That said, it still presents the same problem as all but the adhesive/velcro carriers do: you give up the tools-free takedown benefit.

Do they get in the way of sighting the shotgun? Or do you mount it on the opposite side? I am new at this.

It's mounted on the flat of the receiver opposite the ejection port. Many manufactuers offer a left-handed version as well.

I like the angle of the shells, but it is going to be comfortable only if loading shells to the magazine tube, I think it will become disadvantage when loading shells to the chamber.
