Talk about other firearms: rifles, pistols etc.

What else do you use for home defense, carry, shoot, etc.?

Although my most fun gun is my 870, there are other guns I definitely enjoy to use. I usually carry concealed my Solo CDP or my Sig P938. Although there are times I do carry my S&W 642ct or my LCP.

Very nice kentactic! I shot mine for the first time today. It did ok. I need to practice with it more. I had one malfunction. But I believe it was resulting from the magazine I was using at the time. I was using one of my glock 17 mags. But overall it was a good day with it. Recoil was very manageable, very easy to shoot, and being familiar with glocks made it feel right at home in hand.

probably my three favorite guns not necessarily in this order, a sig 1911 a Smith and Wesson Model 15 and a Ruger Blackhawk 357.

That's odd. Compact & subcompact Glocks shouldn't have any reliability issues with magazines from larger models. Was your Glock 17 magazine an aftermarket one?

I'm a huge Smith & Wesson fan, and I've owned Springfield XDm, Glocks and I prefer my M&P 40. I've had some of the apex tactical upgrades installed (DCAEK kit, and polymer AEK trigger) and the gun's dynamics have changed, it's more accurate and has a much better trigger pull. I also have trijicon HD sights as wellImage

It was a factory mag. I'll do some more testing with it. My mag spring might be getting a little weak. That was the only malfunction so I don't know what was up. I'm planning to shoot it some more this coming weekend. I've got another 100 rnds I can put through it. Also when I was using the 17 mag it didn't want to lock back on the last round for me. I believe that was my problem not the pistol. I have a bad habit of resting my thumb near the slide release. I'm having to lean to readjust my grip.

If it feels weak, it might just need to be cleaned. When's the last time you took it apart and got all the dust/lint/powder residue out?

I don't think I've had the mags apart since I bought it a few years ago. They stay in a nightstand drawer. I may take them apart to make sure. I need to get some more mags anyways. I was using the 17 mag in it as just an extra mag. Didn't even load it all the way full.
