I own a number of shotguns. 2 1100's (well the wife has one of them) one trusty Mossberg 500 that I have owned since 84(best 119.00 I've ever spent) Waiting for my 3" magnum 20" Police model 870 to show up from Gunbroker. I got it for 185 plus shipping and transfer. Will probably the most expensive 185 dollar gun I've ever owned. It is a bit rough and I plan on doing a refurb and a few tasteful mods and press it into service as my bedside defender. Looking forward to cruising the forums and will post updates on the boom stick as it evolves. Fortunately I pretty good at keeping my 1100 running past 10k clays on the trap line so I have a handle on the basic to advanced 870 operation tear down and reassembly. Far fewer parts to break then my 1100. First thing will be a complete disassembly clean and inspection. Replace any worn missing or broken part. Stock refinishing, I have a factory Remington +3 tube already on the way, If I can't touch up the blueing then (don't flame me) I'm thinking Green Parkarizing DuraKote Spray finish(cheap and easy). Flash light mount, shell holder and sling. My plan is to K.I.S.S. at least for now anyways.
