Suggestions on light

Post by Blondenbald » Mon Jan 20, 2020 4:05 pm

I am wanting to do a few minor upgrades for my 870. Ideally I am looking for a tactical light with strobe and pressure switch. Also need suggestions on mount. Any other suggestions for mods would be appreciated. Hoping to never need them but just want to be prepared. Base model synthetic 870.

Blondenbald,

Did you make a decision on what light to get for your 870?

I've been looking for options as well but haven't yet narrowed it down to much.

What are the thoughts on the Olight range of lights? Specifically I've seen the M2R mounted to rifles but not sure how it would fare on a shotgun.

Opinions?

Hey, brother! Not sure if you've decided on an option yet. I run the Surefire DSF on my 870. Its a great feature-packed option and from a battle-proven company. Definitely a great option if it fits the bill for you. Love mine. My ONLY complaint with it, is that the gripping area is a little smaller than previous options. This is great if you have short arms or are running an SBS, but I have 37" ape arms and it feels a little short for me. Still, best option out there in my opinion so I just learned to deal with it. Hope that helps!
