Marlin 60 Project

Post by Scorpion8 » Mon Dec 16, 2019 9:46 pm

No pics yet, but am rebuilding a Marlin 60 from a kits of parts that I've assembled. I love the Marlin's, and any tube-fed 22. Never had any luck with Ruger 10/22's, even though I own one. The rotary mags give me fits and it only seems like buying a new mag every few uses cures their ills. "Clip-fed" 22's are better for me, but frankly the best thing in life is a tube-fed 22 like the Marlin 60. This project will make my 4th of these neat and very accurate lil' rifles. I may have a problem.....

I have a Glenfield model 60 18 shot my dad bought me 50 years ago.

Do you still shoot it? Some of those old vintage pieces are the best! Love to see some pics of it. Can't get the 18-rounders anymore as they keep ratcheting down the magazine tube capacity.

It still shoots great, but i haven't fired it in 10-15 years, I’m not a big fan of .22RF. I’ll take some pics of it and posted them.

Sacrilege!!! :) A young lad and a box of 22LRs roaming the farm fields was an important part of my youth, not so much to all the suburbanized kids these days. Something important in there that we're losing.
