Thank you! It will change in the next couple weeks. This one came with the original “Vari-Weight” Plug.

Like an average shotgun. When you pull them out they are LIGHT, almost to light and swing real fast!

I think that's why Remington came up with the vari-weight concept in the first place - the 870 was pretty light compared to other shotguns of the day. Evidently hunters loved it, but trap and skeet shooters liked a heavier gun for a smoother swing.

You are right my 1950 and 1957 with their 28” barrels were extremely light without the Vari-Weight. This 1961 is a 30” barrel for now and its just a lil more heavier.
