Sheared the bead off of my 870 police magnum.

Post by Boogieman » Tue Jun 05, 2018 10:10 pm

I have a 20+ yr old 870 Police Magnum and the bead somehow sheared off. I have no idea how it happened and I can't figure out how to extract such a small screw. Any ideas?

Thanks

Easiest way is to just drill and tap it again in a slightly different spot. 6-48 tpi.

Are you sure it is threaded? If it is bead on a square pad, it is more than likley pressed in.

She's 25 years old and was told that in those olden days the bead was threaded.

Can you post up a close-up photo of the spot? That might help us all.
