Repair

Post by Matt » Sun Nov 26, 2017 7:16 pm

I bought my son a 870 that worked great for the first year then had issues with it not ejecting shell out. I got it appart and finaly got the ejecter out but the plunger is stuck. I had trouble getting it to push in like the vidio showed. How do i get it out. Can i get a new assembly if i cant? Its soaking in oil now with hopes that the oil will help free it. My guess is the spring is bad

Are you talking about the extractor & extractor plunger?

The plunger sometimes sticks in its little channel, but not usually that badly unless it's an older gun that's really been neglected. Just thumping the bolt down-ward against a non-marring surface like a wood-topped workbench will usually make the plunger and spring fall out without too much trouble.
