Magazine Detent

I have an 870 Police that I wanted to be able to use for some hunting also. I purchased a longer barrel and have been using it for some time now. It shoots great, but the magazine cap is always coming loose with the newer long barrel.

The short barrel that came with the Police magnum has a detent built into the barrel ring. The newer barrel, that may have come from an express doesn't have one. What is the best way to modify this to keep that end cap from vibrating loose while shooting? I would like to avoid drilling the new barrel ring. Is there some king of add on washer or other part that will help avoid this?

Thanks for the reply. I found something similar on Brownells but it was discontinued. Heading over to order one now.
