Far N W Canada

Post by Tim Horton » Tue Jul 23, 2019 1:00 am

New here from the bush of far n. w. Canada.
We are a retired couple, on our hobby farm in the bush.
We enjoy gardening in our short zone 2 season. Picking wild fruits and berries in the bush.
Thrill of the hunt at garage sales. We don't hunt wild game much anymore. To say we don't go far anymore to hunt. Mostly only on the occasion game strays into our pastures or bush.

We also raise small livestock. If you have livestock or pets in the busy, if you have not had predators, you eventually will. So the older 870 Express we have is our go to house and barn gun.

The express is a necessary tool to have close while apple and berry picking as competition for fruit can weigh as much as 400 kilo. .....

I hope to learn little tricks and tips to keeping the old Express running well.

Welcome and howdy from the "civilized" portion of Alaska. Yup, an 870 makes a person a lot more comfortable in bear country.
