With the way the economy is going and the trouble our country is in, it just might be coming to that here soon. LOL Nah, the critters that I do shoot on a regular basis are just varmints around here. They will eat your garden down to the nub, so it is more or less control of the population. During springtime we see a huge influxe of these guys and they have to be maintained to a degree. But let me tell you it is alot of fun.

I agree with you gypsydan41. Varmints need to be controlled, sometimes by my hand  Where I live in Canada, farmers will sometimes give you ammunition(and sometimes a beer once the guns are put away) just for coming out to help with the pest problem.

Oh yeah, one time I was working out of town in Wyoming and found a older man in the local bar who turned out to be a farmer, he gave us bricks of rimfire 22's to go get prairie dog's. I have never ever shot so many animal's in one day in my whole life, it turned out to be a source of entertainment for many weeks out there in those fields and the farmer could not have been more happy. I have been back there on several trips with alot of different firearms. I hope to go back sometime in Aug. And testout the 408 Cheytec.
