I took part in an interesting handgun competition – GSSF (Glock Sport Shooting Foundation). Usually, I don’t shoot handgun matches but this one is very newbie friendly. The price of participation, handgun rent and ammo was very inexpensive.

About Glock Handguns
Glock handguns are semi-automatic pistols with polymer frames, which are plastic frames. This makes them light weight and easy to carry around. They also have short recoil when you shoot them, which means they are easier to aim for better accuracy. Since it is semi-automatic, that means the gun will fire a round each time you pull the trigger. That way you don’t have to worry about cocking back a hammer or anything like that. You just repeatedly pull the trigger if you want to fire multiple rounds. When you combine this convenience with all the other aspects of the weapon, it explains why the Glock is a favorite amongst pistol lovers.
Some offtopic today. I know that most of the Rem870.com blog readers own handguns, they are compact lightweight and very good for self defense.
Magazine Auxiliary Defense System for 1911 Magazines
Review by Jonathan Paul
I was recently contacted by Vitaly of the Rem870 Blog to review a new firearm accessory created by M2 Corporation called the Magazine Auxiliary Defense System. M2 currently has the MADS available for both the Glock and 1911 platforms, this product overview was based solely on experience with the model intended for use on 1911-style pistols.
On initial inspection the MADS is a piece of injection-molded polymer with two mounting holes and a pair of aggressively-serrated edges. It weighs virtually nothing and mounts simply to the two holes located on the bottom of most (all?) 1911 magazines with two Philips-head screws.
