Urbino Tactical Stock System Review
Mesa Tactical Urbino Tactical Stock System and Accessory Review by Recom Actual
We recently obtained the Urbino Tactical Stock System with a Sureshell Shotshell Carrier. We installed the Urbino Tactiacl Stock System in about 15 minutes, and I am no gunsmith. A screwdriver is about all that is needed to make the change. We installed it with the single point adapter mount since I like the Magpul single point sling.
Once installed the Urbino Tactical Stock System was a sweet addition to my Remington 870, already an almost perfect weapon system. The pistol grip was a pleasure to use. The grip is totally rubberized and nicely sized ensuring a very positive and secure grip with good recall midigation. The great grip ensures optimal control of the weapon.
The Limb Saver recoil pad is just enough with no interference in shouldering, but enough padding to help negate the recoil.
Additionally, the Cheek Riser is a very beneficial attribute. This is an adjustable feature and enables the user to set it at zero elevation to a max point that is more than adequate to enable perfect sight alinement even with an optic set on a riser mount.

We also were fortunate enough to have the Mesa Tactical Sureshell Shot Shell Carrier enhancement to attach to our 870. This is an excellent shot shell carrier especially with Mesa Tactical’s “elastomer” shot shell retention system. Mesa Tactical includes a firmer elastomer that you can replace the installed elastomer with, giving you a much tighter retention if your situation requires this. We found the installed system was perfect for the retention we needed.
We felt we would like to incorporate a picatinny rail into our upgrade so we opted for the Mesa Tactical Sureshell Shot Shell Carrier including the Saddle Mount Rail. This enables us to use numerous optics on our. 870.
This package is a great upgrade to our incredibly awesome Remington 870.
