It stores your shells in one place so you can easily reload bandoleers and other shell carries that will be carried along with your weapon. It protects your shells at your hunting camp or in any situation from moisture so the box can be stored in wet/damp conditions.

There is enough room left for ear protection, shooting glasses and in some cases ammunition of a different variety for those that carry multiple weapons.

The shells scatter about if the box is dropped because the trays do not hold the shells tight.

The dry box is designed so the shells can be easily placed in and removed from the trays. The trays are not made to “clamp” the shells in place.

It is hard to remove the top tray once full because there are not any handles so you have to get your fingers under the tray to pick it up.
